Sherbinski is the brand and genetics company of legendary Bay Area breeder Mario Guzman. While the official company was founded in 2018, its roots trace back to the early 2000s medical cannabis scene in San Francisco. Guzman, originally a graffiti artist, began breeding in his Sunset District home, famously crossing a **Pink Panties** female with a **Larry OG** male to create the foundational **Sunset Sherbet**. His most iconic creation, **Gelato**, emerged from crossing Sunset Sherbet with the equally famous **Thin Mint GSC** phenotype. Gelato's numbered phenotypes (like #33, #41, #45) became some of the most sought-after and influential cultivars of the 2010s, defining the "cookie" and "dessert" strain era.
